NBCC 2009 AGM

The New Brunswick Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) held its 2009 Annual General Meeting & Conference in Caraquet, New Brunswick on Saturday, June 13, 2009. The theme of this year’s conference was “Renewed Competitiveness”.

Speakers for the half-day conference included Cleo Savoie, Executive Director of the Canada East Air Cargo Gateway; Tanya Eindigue and Sophie Loiselle, with New Brunswick Public Library Services; David Godfrey who is economist with Labour Market Analysis with the province of New Brunswick; and Bill Barrett, co-CEO of Barrett Corporation.

Our dinner keynote speaker was Jamie Irving, publisher of the Telegraph Journal.

Sponsors for the event were the Telegraph Journal, Capital Airways, the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, Golf Pokemouche, PACRIM Hospitality and First Data Services.

The New Brunswick Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting & Conference was held at the world-class facilities of the Centre Culturel de Caraquet. In keeping with the celebration of World Acadian Congress, the conference dinner featured a “Lafayette Meets Caraquet” theme with famed Louisiana chef Brian Blanchard joining chef Karen Mersereau from Caraquet’s renowned Hotel Paulin.
